He was predeceased by: his siblings, Pedro Garza, Criselda Garza and Ricardo Garza; and his parents, Benito Garza and Rumalda Garza.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Guadalupe Garza; his children, Rafael Garza, Jr., Maribel Garza, Javier Garza (Leticia) and Jaime Garza; and his grandchildren, Raven, Rafael III, Javier Jr., Carlos and Christopher.
