He was predeceased by: his parents, Fidel Medrano Sr. and Teresa L. Medrano; and his sister Sylvia Martinez. He is survived by: his son Gavin J. Medrano; and his siblings, Lydia Villa, Fidel Medrano Jr., Thomas Medrano and Christina Sifuentes.
