He is survived by: his children, Daniel, Ricardo, Severo, Roberto and Mario Jesus Vargas. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - San Juan (311 E Expressway 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St Jude Catholic Church (505 S Ironwood St, Pharr, TX 78577, USA). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Val Verde Memorial Gardens (6200 N Val Verde Rd, Donna, TX 78537).
