He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shafer and Pauline Shafer. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Shafer (Ueber); his son Tim; his daughter-in-law Jeanie Shafer (Gron); his grandchildren, Amanda, Cassandra (Hoover) and Perry; and his great grandchild Silvia (Hoover).
