He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Joe Hammons and Emma Alice Hammons (Stem); and his brothers, Johnny Hammons, Donald Hammons, James Jefferson Hammons, Bobby Lee Hammons and Joe David Hammons.
He is survived by: his siblings, Alice Faye Barnett of Argyle, Edith May Murray of Lewisville, Anna Marie Clements of Georgia and Leonard Leon Hammons; and his nephew Randall Hammons.
