He was predeceased by: his son Daniel A. Downes; his sisters, Christina and Patricia; and his pet Lilly. He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Downes; his children, Angela M. Downes (James A. LaBarba), Robert P. Downes (Heather Downes), James M. Downes (Maddalen Downes) and Zachary A. Downes; his grandchildren, Ross, Ryan, Robby, Andrew, Christopher, Elizabeth, Catherine, Samuel, Henry and Aspen; his great grandchild Conrad; and his brother Robert A. Downes (Barbara A. Downes).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael Downes memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
