He was predeceased by : his parents, Van B. Herron and Lois Herron; his daughter Judy Kay Herron; and his siblings, Jimmy Herron, Billy Herron and Ruby Marie Holland.

He is survived by : his children, Donald Herron (Kitty), Ronald Ray Herron (Sheryl), Gerald Ingram (Kim), Angie Lee Marburger (Jimmy) and Cindy O'Neal; his brother Johnny Herron (Earlene); and his sister-in-law Hattie Herron. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
