He was predeceased by: his parents, James Louis Thomas and Bennie Sue Ratliff Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Diane Daniels Thomas; his children, Ellen (Dan Hughes), Jill (Mark Miller) and Louis Thomas; his granddaughter Gretchen Miller; and his sister Dorothy Boykin (Cue). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their children.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Marvin Methodist Church.
