It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Winfred Rust of Pittsburg, Texas, born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oda Rust and Bertha Belle Clark Rust; his wife Betty Ruth Rust; and his siblings, Imer D Newman, Hazelwood Rust, Gerald Dean Rust and Kenneth Harold Rust.
He is survived by: his children, Charles, David Rust (Linda) of Pittsburg and Pamela Smith (David) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Brandon, Shelby Rust, Chris Rust, Zack Thompson, Amber, Danny Holderness, Tiffany and Kyle Robertson; his great grandchildren, Addison, Braylen, Hadley Rust, Logan, Lankston Holderness and Kinley Robertson; his brothers, Robert Rust and Luther Rust; and his siblings-in-law, Elbert Burnett (Ellen), Sharon Dinnis (Sam), Sue Rust and Sherry Rust. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg.
