He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Joe Boyd and Thelma Jo Hicks Boyd; and his son Chris Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Cate Boyd of Pittsburg; his son B. J. Boyd of Tyler; his brother Joey; his sister-in-law Robin Boyd of Karnack, Texas; his sisters, Tammy (Tommy Mays), Pam Richardson of Avinger and Lori Belcher of Cookville, Texas; and his grandchildren, Benji Boyd (Tanya), Dakota Boyd (Angela), Hunter Boyd and Jarrod Lyles (Amity). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
