It is with sadness that the passing of Sue Blount of Pittsburg, Texas is shared. Sue, born on September 4, 1943, passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Benefield and Lula Faye Lockaby Benefield; her son Jimmy Blount; and her siblings, Mary Hulfstetler, Venoy Benefield, Brenda Baker, Gayland Benefield, James Benefield, Wanda Anderson, Bobby Benefield, Sarah Benefield and Martin Benefield.
She is survived by: her husband Junior Blount; her children, Mike Blount (Tammie) and Patricia Steele (Michael); her grandchildren, Kevin Blount, Tabitha Ballard (Shane) and Trishia Tindel (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Eban Ballard, Kayden Nichols, Ian Ballard and Norah Tindel; and her siblings, Richard Benefield (Brenda) and Linda Ryan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel (315 Rusk St, Pittsburg, TX 75686). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Cemetery (435 Co Rd 1266, Pittsburg, TX 75686).
