He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Sue Smith; his parents, Ples Turner Smith Sr. and Bessie Biggs Smith; and his siblings, Pleas Turner Smith Jr. and Bobbie Jo Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Pat Smith (Jill), Troy Smith (Diana) and BuLinda Burns (Kendal); his grandchildren, Troy Smith Jr., Tanner Smith (Carrington), Victoria Stevens (Brandon), Blevin Burns (Vanessa), Bryce Burns (Avery), Bailey and Brooke Smith; his great grandchildren, Kaden Smith, Mason Smith, Carson Smith, Morgan Smith, Tealeigh Stevens, Braxton Stevens, Denver Stevens, Brayson Burns and Brayley Burns; and his siblings-in-law, Venita Smith of Pittsburg, Donnie Clouse and Richard Clouse of Tyler, Texas..

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel (315 Rusk St, Pittsburg, TX 75686). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church (81 County Rd 4690, Pittsburg, TX 75686).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Pittsburg, 300 Jefferson Street, Pittsburg, Texas, or the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum, 204 West Marshall Street, Pittsburg, Texas 75686 in honor of Kenneth's memory.
