He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Carter and Carolyn Carter (Stone); and his father-in-law Vennum Fitzgerald. He is survived by : his wife Vee Ann; his daughters, Madison Carter of Lubbock, TX, Marka Carter of College Station, TX and Mikah Carter of San Angelo, TX; his sisters, Kerri Charlton (John) and Kristi Smith (Jay); his mother-in-law Judy Fitzgerald of Plains, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Nick Olenik of Lubbock, TX, Vince Fitzgerald, Shelley of New Deal, TX and Vonda Jones (Allan).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to New Mexico Christian Children's Home in Portales, NM, or Lubbock Children's Home in Lubbock, TX.
