He was predeceased by: his parents, Herminio Antunez and Candelaria Ramirez; and his siblings, Sylvia Barrera and Mario Antunez. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Antunez (Guadalupe), Arturo Antunez, Jr. and Sarah Menchaca (Dallas) of Plainview; and his siblings, Raul, Herminio Antunez of Washington, Rosario Lopez of Hale Center and Teresa Lopez of Cotton Center. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
