As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Selman and Eva Selman. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Chapman of Plainview; her children, Shane Chapman (Christy Chapman) of Lubbock, Texas and Tonya Chapman (Chelsea Carson) of Lubbock, Texas; her grandchildren, Hunter Trevino, Matthew Chapman, Tiffany Chapman and Kailyn Perez; and her great grandchildren, Loralei and Seidon Chapman.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lemons Funeral Home (206 W 8th St, Plainview, TX 79072). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lemons Memorial Chapel (206 W 8th St, Plainview, TX 79072). A burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at the Parklawn Memorial Gardens (1300 I-27, Plainview, TX 79072).
