She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Miller and Lilly Johnston; her husband Elvin Sykes; her daughter Trina Sykes; and her siblings, Bobby Miller, Johnny Scott Johnston and Alma Durrett.
She is survived by: her children, Lex Sykes (Janie) of Lubbock, Johnny Sykes (Arelis Vera) of Orlando, Florida and Shawn Delossantos (Richard) of Leander, Texas; her grandchildren, Lance Sykes, Tanner Sykes, Toby Sykes, Jessica Sykes, Lorena Sykes, Jeremy Crowell and Heather Dunia; and her sister Debbie Perkins. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lemons Memorial Chapel (206 W 8th St, Plainview, TX 79072). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at the Parklawn Memorial Gardens (1300 I-27, Plainview, TX 79072).
