He was predeceased by: his parents, Santana Castillo and Maria Vasquez Castillo; his son Rudy Muniz; and his grandson Rey Reyes. He is survived by: his wife Socorro Castillo of Plainview; his children, Jose Muniz (Monica) of Plainview, Abilia Muniz Gomes (Ramiro) of Denver, CO and Erica Muniz of Plainview; and his sister Mary Rose of Woodsboro, TX. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
