It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hortencia (Plainview) Sierra of Plainview, Texas, who passed away on December 18, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leopoldo Camarena and Maria Camarena; her husband Ysidoro Jesus Sierra, Sr.; her son Jerry Sierra; her brother Jose Moreno; and her grandchild MiJoy Sierra.

She is survived by: her children, Jesse, Maria Sierra Hamilton (Bill) of Woodward, Teri Sierra Alvarado (James) of Lubbock, Texas, Guadalupe Sierra (Patricia) of Plainview, Joel Sierra of Austin, Joaquin Sierra (Diana) of Plainview, Blas Sierra of Kerrville, Julian Sierra (Toni) of Plainview and Jessie Sierra II of Naples, Florida; and her siblings, Raymond Camarena of Port Arthur, Leo Camarena Jr. of Carlsbad and Alicia Montemayor of Dallas, Texas.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
