He is survived by: his uncle Lupe Cardenas; his children, Jimmy Cardenas of Lubbock and Elisa Cardenas of Wylie; and his siblings, Rudy Cardenas of Lubbock, Roger Cardenas (Angie) of Lubbock, Fred Cardenas Jr. of Fort Worth, Jimmy Cardenas of Wolfforth, Rosa Sainz of Levelland, Lupe Gaitan (Noah) of Levelland, Sylvia Cardenas of Lubbock and Gloria Soto of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
