He was predeceased by: his wife Guadalupe "Lupe" Rios; his parents, Joe P. Rios, Sr. and Melquiadez Munoz Rios; his siblings, Jesusa "Jessie" Valladarez, Elvira Gonzales, Thomas Rios and Guadalupe Rios; and his daughters, Georgia Faye Rios, Barbara Ann Pauda and Jo Ann Gamboa.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Rios Trevino (Jose) of Plainview and Thomas Glenn Rios (Norma) of Lubbock; his sisters, Erlinda Gonzales of Knox City and Anita Johnson of Austin; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Fulton (Carlton), Patrick Pauda, Justin Gamboa (Ashley), Marisabelle Trevino, Mercedes Trevino, Miranda Trevino, Joseph Rios (Estafani) and Tristen Rios. He is also survived by nine loving great-grandchildren.
