It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juan Alonzo Esquivel of Plainview, Texas, who passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reynaldo Esquivel Sr. and Guadalupe Robles Esquivel; and his father-in-law Domingo Ybarra Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sally Esquivel of Plainview, Texas; his children, Alonzo Esquivel (Heather) of Plainview, Texas, Jose Armando Esquivel (Jacqueline) of Plainview, Texas, Miguel Esquivel (Rachelle Barber) of Plainview, Texas, Maricela Esquivel of Plainview, Texas and Vanessa Esquivel of Plainview, Texas; his siblings, Ernesto Esquivel (Diana) of Plainview, Texas, Reynaldo Esquivel of Plainview, Texas, Rosa Santos (Carlos) of Andrews and Juanita Esquivel of Edinburg, Texas; and his mother-in-law Celestina Maria Ybarra. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
