She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Gay and Ruba Gay; her husband Harold Berner; her son Kenneth Edward Berner; her grandson Jacob Storrs; her siblings, Steven Donald Gay Jr., Ronald Dean Gay and Lois Marie Gay Reeves; and her close friends, Betty Hingst and Billie Watson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Gibbs (Ronald) of Amarillo, Cindy Storrs of Plainview, Patricia Ward (Sammy) of Andrews, Melanie Belyeu of Hale Center and Darlene Terrell (Patt Terrell) of Plainview; her grandchildren, Rustin Brent Gibbs (Lori) of Madisonville, Andrea Walker (Gabe) of Amarillo, Rachel Storrs (Travis Webb), Joel Storrs of Lubbock, Morgan Davila (Miguel) of Andrews, Rebekah Fulenwider (Tyler) of Plainview, Austin Terrell of Plainview, Tabetha Belyeu (Travis), Audrey Belyeu (Merced Juarez) and Max Belyeu (Maci) of Hale Center; her great grandchildren, Logan Ellis of Amarillo, Jace Gibbs of Madisonville, Addilyn Fulenwider of Plainview, Malori Fulenwider of Plainview, Tate Belyeu of Plainview and Bailey Belyeu of Hale Center; and her friends, Sarah Kunkel, Judy Bye, Ruth Obenhaus and Eva Mae Koenning. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (901 Oakland, Plainview, TX 79072).
