She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Clearman and Anna Laura Clearman; her husband Gary Steven Thompson; and her brother Jamie Clearman. She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Thompson (Thomas Bergami) and JoBeth Hopp (Steve Hopp) of Miamisburg, Ohio; her siblings, Kenneth Clearman (Linda Clearman) of Arlington, Texas, Dianne Walser (Kenny Walser) of Prosper, Texas and Mary Jo Leonard (Mike Leonard) of Canadian, Texas; and her grandchildren, Keely Hopp, Hailey Hopp, Dane Hopp and Bella Bergami.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to AdoptAClassroom.org, a foundation to support teachers and classrooms in need.
