He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Spaulding and Mable Shaw Spaulding; his son Robert Wayne Spaulding; his siblings, George W. Spaulding Jr. of Austin and Betty Hingst of Plainview, Texas; and his brother-in-law Carl G. Bonds.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Spaulding; his sister Shirley Kuykendall of Baton Rouge; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Spaulding of Austin and Rita Bonds of Richardson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
