He was predeceased by : his parents, Jimmy Griffin and Josie Griffin; his wife Kathy Griffin; and his sister Jimmie Smith. He is survived by : his daughter Jenifer DeLeon (Jeremiah) of Plainview; his sister Terrye Godfrey (Danny) of Plainview; his brother-in-law Rick Smith of Plainview; his grandchildren, Morgan Juarez and Kylar Romo; his niece Cynnamonn Fletcher (David); his nephew Jimmy Godfrey (Erika); and also, Annabell and Lucy.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Plainview - Kornerstone Funeral Directors (3605 SW 3rd, Plainview, TX 79072).
