We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2020, at the age of 29, Andrew Philipp Sockwell in Plano, Texas, born in Bryan, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his grandfather Alejandro M. Mendoza; and his cousin Emily Anne Skala. He is survived by : his parents, Timothy R. Sockwell and Maria Sockwell (Mendoza); his fiancé Lauren Mecke of Richardson, Texas; his grandmother Flora Lingad Mendoza; his aunts, Letha Skala and Tammy Brenner; and his fiancé Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

Jannie Broniste wrote a sympathy message

“I want to send my deepest condolences to Andrew's family, fiancee, and closest friends. I have worked with him for a number of years here at Monkey Sports. I could not have been more proud of him pursuing his career in law enforcement and I made sure to tell him at his goodbye pizza party. What a great young man! It has been an honor and a pleasure to have worked with him and to have just known him. Heaven gained an amazing angel!! RIP Andrew...you are missed!!! Jannie B.”
