He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Briggs and Jacqueline O'Connor; his daughter Kimberley Briggs; and his sisters, Caroline Shreve and Karen Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Briggs of Plano, Texas; his daughters, Jackie Beckerle of Plano and Carla Briggs of Plano, Texas; and his siblings, Francis Snodgrass, Ken Briggs, Tom Briggs, Linda Grossetti and Ricky Briggs. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
