He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gerstein and Rose Gerstein; and his sister Toby Scott. He is survived by: his wife Fern DeWoskin Gerstein; his brother Harvey Gerstein; his children, Angie Stewart, Elaine Montoya (Larry), Jason Gerstein (Becca) and Jami Gaines (Dunagin); and his grandchildren, Cheyenne Montoya, Breanna Rogers, Madison Stewart, Farrah Montoya, Jasper Gerstein, Mason Gerstein, Ellison Gaines, Jamison Gaines and Sami Gaines.
