She is survived by: her husband John Roscoe Smith, Jr. of Plano, Texas.; her half-sister Suzette Hooks Ross of Vidor; her children, Margaret Ann Smith of Plano and Michael Stephen Smith (Kelly) of Richardson; and her grandchildren, Jordan Smith and Garrett Smith of Richardson.
She also advocated for heart health by volunteering as a local board member for the Dallas Affiliate of the American Heart Association.
