He is survived by: his children, Orlando Jay Ellis, Christopher Ellis and Hope Martin (Anthony); and his siblings, Charles Henry Brooks (Linda), Elmo Brooks (Gwen), Wydell Brooks, Gwen Burns (Brooks) and John Michael Brooks (Dee). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
