He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Luis Badillo Sr. and Dolores Collazo Badillo; his wife Dexa M. Badillo; and his son Daniel Badillo. He is survived by: his children, David Badillo and Julie Badillo (Suzanne Armstrong).
