In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Isabelle leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Isabelle may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth D. Martin, Sr. (Jocelyn Stallings); her sister Billie Ruffin; and her grandchildren, Kenneth D. Martin, Jr. (Pauline), Kelli Martin, Charmaine DeGrate' and Dante'DeGrate' (Shelly). She is also survived by great-grands, nieces, and nephews.
For decades, Isabelle was very active and in leadership roles in organizations such as the Ladies Sodality, Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, OMOM choir, Eucharistic ministry, taught Catechism and RICA, and was a member of Associate Program of Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston, Texas, as well as a member of the Lectors Ministry, to name only a few roles where she made a difference in the church community.
