He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Rake" LaFave and Anne Bradley LaFave; and his siblings, John Bradley "Jack" LaFave, Joelle Ann LaFave, Katherine LaFave Brennan and Mary Frances LaFave.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Calarco LaFave of Plano. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
