Richard leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Richard will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jerome Reed and Margaret Agnes Reed (McGeeney); his wife Diane Helen Hinman of North Platte; and his sister Jane. He is survived by: his children, Anne Knowles (Steve), Carol Davis (Ken) and Mike Reed (Jan). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mark Catholic Church (1201 Alma Dr, Plano, TX 75075). A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Restland Funeral Home, Cemetery (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75081). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Dallas Elks Lodge #71 (8550 Lullwater Dr, Dallas, TX 75238).
