He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrie Choate and Hilda Meaux Choate; and his brother Harry. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Choate; his children, Robert Choate Jr., Tonya Choate and Kevin Choate (Meredith); his grandchildren, Nichole (Bryan), Andrew, David (Madelyn) and Charlie; and his great grandchildren, Leeland and Juniper.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cancer Center at Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation in Al's honor.
