We announce the death of Connie Jewel Rakowitz (Pleasanton, Texas), born in Charlotte, Texas, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 91. Connie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Worley Bowren and Essie Bowren; her former husband Wallace Pursch; her husband Pete Rakowitz; her siblings, Bill, Bruce, Jay, Leroy, Bobbie, Gwen, Charlotte and Patricia; and her daughters-in-law, Sharon and Nancy Pursch.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Pursch, Alice Parker (Bill) and Dora Loughan (Pat); and her grandchildren, Kathy Pursch Cornforth (Carrie), Dean Parker (Angel), Dale Loughan, Cassie Bouchillon (Brenton), Jason, Kaede Parker, Robert Cornforth, Kinsey and Laney Bouchillon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hurley Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the St. Andrew Cemetery.
