With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eric Matthew Zuniga of Pleasanton, Texas, who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Eric Matthew is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He is survived by: his significant other Janet Pizel Zuniga; his mother Mary Lou Gallegos Hasette; his stepfather Tony Hasette; his father Raul Zuniga; his stepmother Maria Zuniga; and his brothers, Chris Zuniga and Roy Zuniga Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home (118 W Oaklawn Rd, Pleasanton, TX 78064). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Andrew Catholic Church (626 Market St, Pleasanton, TX 78064). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
