He was predeceased by: his mother Vivian Darlene Decker of Ada, Oklahoma.; his wife Donna; and his daughter Elizabeth. He is survived by: his children, Amanda, Matthew and Mary; and his pet Sissy. He is also survived by grandsons; a loving circle of nieces and nephews.

“I was close friends with his younger children, Matt and Mary. We went to high school together and stayed friends well into college before our lives parted ways. It was fascinating to watch him build knives in his workshop when I was over at their house back then. Bruce was a regular at the HEB in Port Lavaca, where I worked for several years, and he was always fun to talk to when he found me. I only wish the best for his surviving children. -Jonathan Stroup”
