He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Edward "Buck" and Carletta Watts; and his siblings, Curtis Milton Watts, Edward Elton Watts and Ruth Ivetta Hines.

He is survived by : his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Anne Watson; his children, Beverly Phillips (Mark), Cindy Bucher (Scott) and Mark Watts (Lori); his grandchildren, Denise Rhodey (Mark), Amber Shinn (Randy), Alicia Smith (J. R.), Whitney Watts and Peyton Watts; his great grandchildren, Ryan Woods, Tyler Woods, Austin Woods, Dylan Shinn, Makayla Smith and Kessler Smith; and his brothers, Lewis Dean Watts (Shirley) and James Austell Watts (Chrysteen). He is also survived by numerous nieces; and special great-nephew.
