In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Edith leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Edith may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband William P. Winters; and her parents, Arthur Hurford and Hattie Hurford. She is survived by: her children, Glenda Ezzell (Benny) of Cuero and Larry Winters (Linda) of Mission Valley; and her sister Barbara Yates of Pace. She is also survived by six grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home (123 Newlin St, Port Lavaca, TX 77979). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
