She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Ransom Riser, Jr. and Thelma Gladney Riser; her husband James "Jimmy" Edwards; her siblings, Pearlie Joyce Williams, Doris June Harris, Carolyn Mallory, Leotha Jean Hammons, Marsha Ford, Joe Louis Riser, Julius Gladney and Ransom Riser III; and her grandson Kevin Riser.
She is survived by: her sons, Jackie L. Riser of Port Lavaca, Jerome L. Riser (LaDonya) of Cross Roads, Timothy W. Riser (Pamela) of Stafford and Steffon C. Riser (Carol) of Knoxville, TN; and her sister Wanda Adada of Victoria. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church (419 W Center St, Port Lavaca, TX 77979). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
