He was predeceased by: his parents, Imogene Lay Choate and Elby D. Choate; and his sister Carolyn Chase. He is survived by: his son David Wayne Choate (William Dean Choate); his wife Janice Philpott; his son Dean Choate (Lisa); his grandchildren, Ryan, Reagen, Hogan, Emily and Gracie; and his siblings-in-law, James Chase, Eddie Philpott and Weida Philpott. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, his nieces and nephews.
