He is survived by: his wife Laura Ann Woodrome Atkinson (Carl); his brother Charles Ray Atkinson; his children, Lorena Newton (Cannon), Kathy Gibson (Woodrome), Carolyn Glaze (Woodrome), Sherrie Ewings (Woodrome), Gwendolyn Woodrome, Hugh "Scooter" Cannon, Ricky Atkinson, Ronnie Atkinson and Donna Bundrick (Cannon); and his granddaughter Sandra Nicole Angelo. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
