He was predeceased by: his wife Ginavee McShan Tomplait; and his brothers, Gordan Tomplait, Jack Tomplait (Gloria), Tommy Tomplait (Gladys) and Glenn Tomplait (Winnie).
He is survived by: his children, Ginger Tomplait Emery (Michael), Cynthia Tomplait Thompson (Patrick), Kevin Tomplait and Shane Tomplait (Deborah). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
