He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Anne L. Spartz and George Eugene Spartz; and his brother Richard Ignatius Spartz. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Mauriello Spartz; his children, Katherine Mary Elizabeth (Katie) and Kevin George; his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Vietti (Robert), James Spartz (Nancy), Barbara Weirath (Harry), Nancy Wakefield (John), Thomas Spartz (Maggi), William Spartz (Deborah), Michael Spartz (Cindy), Jack Spartz (Jenny), Matthew Spartz (Cindy) and Clare Spartz; his parents-in-law, Dr. Alfred and Susan Mauriello of Pennsylvania; and his siblings-in-law, Chrissie, Joseph Scalia and Jeffrey Mauriello.
