He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Hooper; his parents, Isaac Hooper and Hazel Hooper; and his siblings, Myrtle Barefoot, LaVonia Sadler, Mary Williams, Bob, Harvey, Charlie, Ben and John Hooper.
He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Hooper Torres (Gilbert) of Poteet; his grandsons, Dalton Hunter Torres (Sara), Dillon Ray Torres (Jenny) of Castroville and Dustin McCoy Torres of Rockland, CA; and his great grandchildren, Carson Hunter, Oliver Reid Torres and Motley Amor Torres of Castroville. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
