JoAnn Towery Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Towery of Pottsboro, Texas, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Cassell and Mary Cassell (Pearson); her daughter Beth Renee Towery; and her brother David Cassell. She is survived by: her husband Bill Towery of Pottsboro, Texas; her son Mark Towery of Pottsboro, Texas; her grandchildren, Mallory Towery and Hunter Mullennix; her siblings, Larry Cassell (Deborah) of Lone Oak and Thelma Dagenais (Mike) of Denison, Texas; her siblings-in-law, Jim Towery (Donna) of Pottsboro, Texas, David Towery (Robin) of Pottsboro, Texas and Tonya Himes (Dave) of Panama City, Florida; her friend Conne Cassell; and also Cathy Towery. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson-Moore Pottsboro Chapel (511 FM 120, Pottsboro, TX 75076). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
