Anita will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Anita by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Anita is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Anita’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clue Edwin Hammons and Loretta Elizabeth Hammons; and her siblings, David Edwin Hammons and Ida Mae Dalton. She is survived by: her husband Charles Williams; her daughters, Cherie Elizabeth (Timothy Andrew McAdoo) and Rebecca Lynn (Kevin Leland Parsons); and her sister Loretta Camille Hoverter. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandsons.
A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Prestonwood Baptist Church North Campus (1001 W Prosper Trail, Prosper, TX 75078).
