She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Hodges and Faye Hodges; her husband Jim Hughes (Jim) of Prosper; and her brothers, C. P. Snider, H. T. Snider, Jr., Don Hodges and Jimmy Hodges.
She is survived by: her friends, Betty Stewart, Jana Thomson, Margaret Scott, Christy Kreger, John, Linda Guthrie, Jan Brown, Carol Canterbury, Christie Hughes, Rebecca Hunter and Linda Baker; her children, Marty Matthews (Claudia Bernal) and Lequita Kinder (Mark); her grandchildren, Natalie Pierce (Steven), Wesley Kinder and Kevin Kinder (Rachel); her sisters-in-law, Patsy Snider, Nancy Hodges, Jerry Ann Gentle and Lynda Hughes; her cousin Nancy Hillis; and her caregiver Musenge Makasa. She is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews, cousins.
A graveside service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Prosper United Methodist Church (1801 Lanier Wy, Prosper, TX 75078).
