He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvel O. Vaughn and Carrie L. Vaughn; his brother Alvin L. Vaughn; his sister-in-law Jewel Vaughn; and his daughter Jennifer L. Vaughn.

He is survived by: his wife Margie "Marie" Vaughn; his siblings, Betty Sue (Bill Garcia), Larry Dean Vaughn and Jerry Wayne Vaughn; and his children, Rhonda J. Vaughn, Arvel R. Vaughn Jr. "Sonny', Sharon K., Anthony Apple, Daryl Glenn Vaughn, Donna, William "Rex" Westbrook, Kim Bruton, Jeffrey Vaughn, Carolyn, Scott Farler, Carrie and Mark Arnold.
